10 minutes, walk from the lodge on the coastal cliffs
I discovered the chick of the red-tailed tropicbird.
The pure white cotton-like downy hair is blown by the wind and sways.
The movement of opening the beak is so cute that I want to lift it up.
Kotetsu sighs from the side, saying,
"Wow, it's really cute."
The parent bird has a long,
slender red tail and is flying around the nest.
I am delighted to meet the birds that can only be seen on this Island
I just wish for the protection of endangered endemic species.
It seems that the current situation is that bird research and nature maintenance do not go as planned.
During the breeding season,
I finally found a Christmas frigatebird on a tree
that inflated a red bag under its beak a female.
There is no chance encounter without a guide.
Daily observation is very important.
Birds with names that I have never heard of live on the Island.
Nesting on a tall tree and raising chicks I discovered two (a kind of gannet bird).
The top of a tree about 20m can be seen only faintly with the naked eye.
I finally succeeded in shooting with a 500mm telephoto lens.
Parent birds fly around the trees and sometimes carry food.
The cry is like a tired old man saying "Gua Gua".
