Levanzo harbor
This Island, which I learned about from a magazine three years ago (2002), is a remote Island that only about 10 Japanese people visit a year.
There was no information on the internet,
so I visited from Favignana Island by high-speed boat,
relying on local knowledge.
In Japan, it has become possible to eat world-class food
regardless of the season.
However, the seasonal ingredient "Bottarga" (tuna dried mullet roe)
that can only be eaten here during this period (May-June).
And tried a trip to the Aegadian Islands in search of Rattomé (tuna milt).
In the harbor, the grand blue sea shined and tiredness was blown away.
The quiet Island is empty.
This is the Island I was looking for.
There is something where there is nothing.
Expectations swelled my chest.
