The airport staff lent us a winter jumper to the place where we were at a loss without changing clothes.

That helps a lot! The temperature is 5 degrees and the wind is strong.

I'm a little shy with the voice of "It looks good on you".

The aircraft is a 30-seater propeller aircraft.
Despite worry, the Pen Air aircraft landed safely
on an isolated Island in the Bering Strait.

However, no matter how long I wait,
I can't see my favorite travel bag.

The clerk said, "This is the end."
An unfriendly reply.
The pick-up guide also had a familiar face, saying
"Luggage will be tomorrow" and a cool face.

When I arrived, Anchorage had a light rain, and it became heavy in the middle of the night, but I was worried.

The preparation for the trip is perfect with rain gear and winter clothes.
After one night, the eastern sky becomes brighter and where did the rain yesterday go?

At the beginning of a month's trip to the Islands, which doubles as a summer vacation, we are lucky enough to take a flight to St. Paul Island.

The book I ordered to visit the Islands of
Alaska happened to be Mr. Sekino's
"Crossing the Bering Strait."
Embarrassing story I didn't know his name until then.

The Island I admire is covered in fog for most
of the year, and there are times
when airplanes cannotland.

I made a schedule with plenty of time considering
the return flight.

A paradise for seabirds and a breeding ground for fur seals.
A small Island floating in the Bering Sea, about 500 kilometers away from Alaska.

I was fascinated by Alaska when I learned that there was a Japanese explorer who went across the Bering Strait.

From Navarino Island, Chile, South America to Laetoli, Tanzania, Africa Walking, canoeing and biking that took 10 years to complete.

"The Great Jani's 50,000-kilometer Journey" (1993-2002), in which mankind walked on his own by connecting dog sleds and Caribbean sleds.

The person's name is Yoshiharu Sekino (56).

Travel is accompanied by happenings.
I want to meet the target "bird" which is why I came to the Island as soon as possible.

The name of the bird is "Puffin".
I don't have any luggage to clean up, so
"Come on, Kotetsu, let's go" Two of us carrying a camera and going into the cold wind.
